Camerette (2009)
Roma è una delle città dei fuorisede; studenti e precari provenienti da tutta italia. Sostenuti economicamente dai genitori condividono la casa in cui vivono con altri fuorisede. La stanza da letto è l’unico spazio privato, una stanza in cui si concentrano tutti gli oggetti e le attività personali.
Queste foto nascono dalla mia passione per farmi i fatti degli altri, dalla voglia di esplorare un mondo a me molto vicino e una condizione molto diffusa in Italia. Penso che rappresenti bene come vivono i giovani italiani oggi.
Camerette is the italian word that describe the rooms where kids live.
Rome is the city of the off sites, student and employed on a temporary basis coming from everywhere in Italy. Often supported economically by their parents they share the house they live in with other offsites. Their bedroom is their only private space, in this room they gather all their belongings and personal activities.
These photographs come from my passion to look at other people life, from the will to explore a world close to mine and a condition really common in Italy. I think this is how young italian live today.
